LGBTQ & Ally Retreat

Looking to make new friends and get involved? Apply to go to the LGBTQ Retreat happening November 20th – 22nd. Last year’s retreat was tons of fun and we had an awesome time meeting new people and learning more about our community and each other. Check out the full blurb below:

November 20 – 22, 2009

Deadline to apply is Friday, October 30, 2009 by way of our online application.

Information Sessions:
Tuesday, 10/20/09; 1 PM, Intercultural Resource Center (Columbia)
Monday, 10/26/09; 1 PM, 323 Milbank Hall (Barnard)

Over three days in November, you will make new friends, build community, experience personal growth, explore leadership opportunities and get energized for Winter and Spring campus activities. We will explore what brings us together within the LGBTQA community, as well as how our different experiences and identities create spaces for ally-building and activism.  No leadership experience required – all students are welcome regardless of student organization affiliation or prior experience.

The LGBTQA Retreat is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs for CC/SEAS and College Activities and Diversity Initiatives at Barnard and is open to undergraduate students from GS / CC / SEAS / Barnard.

For more information, please contact Lea Robinson (lr2476@columbia.edu) or Joyce Lewandowski (jlewando@barnard.edu).
