“Not Congratulations” to the Anti-Wedding
Not congratulations to everyone who didn’t get married today on the steps of Low for some homegrown activism. The National Marriage Boycott crew put together a faux-wedding to highlight the many ways in which LGBTQ individuals are barred from the institution of marriage with a cute, funny, and ultimately thoughtful event. Best yet, we got a shout out on Bwog!
Bwog comments suggest that we still have some work to do on this campus to promote marriage equality. Please lend your name to the National Marriage Boycott by pledging to not get married until everyone can!
You can pledge online by simply filling out an online form. We’ll contact you with more information on how you can become involved as well as what more you can do to further the movement–but if all you can do is pledge to remain unmarried until we all can marry, that’s more than enough!
